PTA CEO Warlene Gary on Parents in Education

The Parent Teacher Association has worked to bridge the gap between parents and teachers for decades. The National PTA just created the position of CEO and has named an African-American woman, Warlene Gary, to lead the organization. NPR's Tavis Smiley talks with Gary about her new role and the challenges of getting parents active in their child's education.
