Event Description

After months of delays and wondering when we would be able to reopen, I’m very excited to announce and invite you to the Fred Jones’ next temporary exhibition, OK/LA opening September 10. Oklahoma expatriates Patrick Blackwell, Joe Goode, Jerry McMillan, Ed Ruscha, Paul Ruscha, and Mason Williams have had a profound influence in contemporary art and culture. Their respective careers have left a tangible mark on art, design, humor, music, and television. OK/LA focuses on the intersections between their lives and work over the last six decades with a particular focus on references to their youth in Oklahoma, their relocation to and life in Southern California, and the humor and wit that pervades their work.
