Four Things To Do in Oklahoma This Weekend

For many people across the state, it's a three day weekend. There are events in all corners of Oklahoma worth attending this weekend, but here are a few to look out for.

  • The Andy Warhol exhibitat the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa runs through Sunday. This exhibit features some of Warhol's most iconic works, like his classic Marilyn Monroe paintings. There's even a place on the second floor of the museum to take a selfie with a picture of Warhol. Several other artists are included in the exhibit to highlight the various uses of color in different works of art.
  • The Muskogee Civic Center is hosting the Dr. Martin Luther King Soul Food Cook-Off on Saturday. The event will feature booths with an array of soul food, such as cornbread, collard greens and black-eyed peas. There will also be a contest for best soul food dish.
     
  • The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Tulsa is Monday. The event, hosted by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Society of Tulsa, is themed "One Race: The Human Race." The parade will begin at 11 a.m.
     
  • The Oklahoma City Home and Garden Show takes place Friday through Sunday at the Oklahoma City Fair Grounds. Visitors can expect to find advice and news on gardening with hundreds of exhibitors and experts.
