Celebrating Local Filmmakers at Langston

21elementz.jpg

New and unique movies never seen before are coming to Langston University next week.

21 Elementz is sponsoring LU Cinema, a monthly viewing of innovative projects and films such as dramas, thrillers, horrors and video essays.

Vice President Darrell Strong says the movies are influencing local filmmakers statewide.

“21 Elementz has definitely been instituting a movie night at least once a month, where we’re showing one of ours or one of classic films. Our last movie night we showed all of our films we’ve done from “Time of the Sluggard” to “Home” to “The Climax”

21 Elementz works with local filmmakers to create original pieces of work throughout Oklahoma.

This month's movie night takes place Tuesday at 7, and a film festival is planned for next year.
