Chronicling AIDS as Reporter and Friend

Journalist Nicole Itano spent more than five years living and reporting from Africa. During that time, she became very close with several women who struggle with the daily rigors of living with HIV/AIDS.

Their stories are chronicled in Itano's new book, No Place Left to Bury the Dead: Denial, Despair and Hope in the African AIDS Pandemic.
