In the introduction to her book Navigable Waterways, a Yale Younger Poets selection, James Merrill wrote, "This poet works elegantly, unpredictably, without teasing... Her subjects — heat, air, sex, trees, the peerless dog Pfoxer — [can be] impeccably democratic."
