Pianist Joyce Yang comes to NPR fresh from a silver medal win at the Twelfth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, in Fort Worth, Tex. She visited the NPR studios recently to play the opening movement from the French Overture by Bach, as well as "Reminiscences of Don Juan," by Franz Liszt.

NPR's Fred Child talks with Yang about the intense weeks she spent at the Van Cliburn Competition and what comes next in her career.
