Population Of Black Bears Climb In Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania traps and tags black bears each year to estimate the overall bear population and help guide management decisions. After the state placed limits on bear hunting, the population has taken off.

The Allegheny Front’s Reid Frazier went out with biologists in search of bears.
