Counting Fireflies For Science In Georgia

Georgia has a big diversity of fireflies. More than a dozen species live in Atlanta.

Habitat loss, pesticides and artificial light could affect their numbers but there’s little research on fireflies. One researcher is trying to change that, Molly Samuel of WABE reports.
