StateImpact Oklahoma, a collaboration of NPR member stations in Oklahoma, has added two new reporters to their team.
Jackie Fortier joined the team in November. She'll be heading up the health initiative, reporting on the state Health Department funding crisis and subsequent investigations and medical marijuana, among other things. Jackie is a native of Colorado, with a degree in English from Colorado State University and a graduate degree in journalism from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She comes to StateImpact after working at KUNC in Greeley, Colorado for the past six years.
Quinton Chandler joined StateImpact in January. He'll be focusing on criminal justice issues, reporting on crime, drug courts, law enforcement, and more. Quinton is a familiar voice to KOSU listeners, as he was a student reporter here for several years. He is an Oklahoma native, with degrees in Economics and Marketing from Oklahoma State University. He comes back to Oklahoma after spending three years in Alaska, as a reporter for KBBI in Homer and KTOO in Juneau.
We hope you'll join us in welcoming Jackie and Quinton to the StateImpact Oklahoma team.
